At Romics the exclusive preview of the second volume and a suggestive exhibition dedicated to The Crow: Memento Mori, the 4 volumes series written by Roberto Recchioni and published by Edizioni BD in collaboration with IDW Publishing.
The Crow: Memento Mori is a tribute to a character, a mith, that has been fascinating readers for years, an original work marked by authors who have grown up with the original iconic of James O’Barr. Set in Rome, the story begins with a terroristic attack that kills the young David, his girlfriend and most of the believers who had gathered in the Church of the town. To celebrate this publishing event, Edizioni BD together with authors has curated an exhibition which includes 30 originals (plates, covers and sketches) by Werther Dell’Edera, illustrator of the series, focused on three elements of the work: the city of Rome, the new crow “David”, and the dynamic action sequences. In addition to those of Werter Dell’Edera, visitors will be able to admire the plates of Matteo Scalera, author of Virtù Sepolta, short story from the first volume of which he has also created a variant cover.
